I’ve lived here close to six years now total. I’ve fallen in love with Hawaii. I know that no matter where life takes me a piece of my heart will always be here.
Since coming back to Hawaii this time around, I’ve dreamed of doing a Hawaiian Hula shoot. I really wanted to avoid anything super cheesy and wanted to honor the tradition with a beautiful, artistic representation.
I had such a great time and despite the 25mph winds we managed to get a few amazing shots!
These lovely ladies did so much more that just show up for the shoot. Part of the hula tradition is making the floral leis and dress. The ti leaf skirts were actually made specifically for this session and were hand woven together. Talk about talent! Everything you see was made special for this shoot by these gorgeous ladies.
I can’t say thanks enough for helping me to make my dream a reality!
