I was so excited to photograph this family. I’ve only known them by walking past their house and waving hello through the neighborhood. It was nice to finally meet the whole gang and get to know the entire family! And, this mom has the most incredibly genuine and beautiful smile!!

I have enjoyed participating in the charity mini-sessions for the KOSC here aboard MCBH these past couple of years. It always makes my heart happy to contribute to the local community and know that my efforts have made a difference in a child’s experience here on the installation and in the surrounding community.

I also get to meet some pretty wonderful people. This is such a cute, young family. I can’t wait to see what the Navy has in store for you!

This is one of the most adorable families I have photographed. How cute are their outfits and accessories? I absolutely adore how she put these together to stand out from the background and coordinate amongst the family members. I am thinking I will need to do another post on what to wear for your family photos and use these as an example!

I love shooting families while they are here in Hawaii on vacation. It seems to me that there is a certain vibe of happiness and a sense of being perhaps a little more carefree than usual. It is always nice to be away from the daily grind of work and family life, so it is fun to vicariously experience a bit of it with my vacationing family sessions!

I love it when a couple decides to include their “furbaby” in their photos. This is one of the cutest dogs I have ever seen. He was so much fun! I also know this little guy will keep his momma company while his Daddy is on deployment.:)

So, during this shoot I was stung by a jellyfish. I was barely even in the water, by my standards. The surf was just kind of rolling over my feet, whereas I usually wade right out into the waves camera and all. I tried to pull it off, but this guy’s a doctor and he could tell something was wrong as I was shaking my foot and wincing. So, thanks for the free advice on how to treat jellyfish stings!!!

You guys are so happy and fun and I can’t wait for your homecoming!:)
