WHAT TO WEAR FOR FAMILY PHOTOS?

This is the single most asked question I get. Even above how much!

You are paying for PROFESSIONAL photography that will capture a moment in a life. You should walk away from the session knowing that you will have something from it that will preserve a memory and provide a product that you will treasure FOR A LIFETIME. I want to give you something that will stand the test of time and something that you will want to admire from across the room as you sit on your couch for the rest of your life!

BE COMFORTABLE!

You will want to be comfortable AND BE YOU. If you don't normally wear 4-inch heels, it is probably not a good idea to wear them in your photo shoot! If your aren't feeling like yourself or are uncomfortable in any way, it will show in your photos.

COORDINATE, COORDINATE, COORDINATE!

Lay out some clothing options on the bed beforehand to see if the colors and/or patterns coordinate. Avoid loud patterns that might not blend well with the scenery in which your photos will be taken. Feel free to text or email me photos of your clothing options and we can talk about it! I do it ALL THE TIME!

NO SHORT SKIRTS!

Okay, enough said. I've had to trash too many pictures that would have been great shots were it not for the panties showing! In a full session, I like to have what I call "playtime." This involves lots of fun, twirling, and sometimes even hanging upside down!

PAY ATTENTION TO THE SMALL DETAILS!

In a normal session, I will take some detail shots of the kiddos or you holding hands and perhaps even your feet! Also, make sure your shoes and socks (if you're going to wear any) aren't going to detract from the overall look of your photos.

BE PREPARED

Know that if you are going to be doing a beach session, it may be quite windy. Be prepared by having a backup plan to pull any hair back that may be flying around. Have some snacks and something to drink ready to go for when you need a little break.

MOST IMPORTANTLY -- HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!
