Sometimes I get to just have a great time. We scheduled a shoot to be held at the Hawaii State Fair but realized that it wouldn’t open until 6 p.m. So, we did what any other photographer would do and decided to meet somewhere nearby to get “just a few” photos beforehand. I had driven by this tiny lot for sale in the middle of town and let’s just say it is a little diamond in the rough. Literally nobody I know would ever drive by and say, “Let’s have a photo shoot here!” Just some overgrown grass between some cracked concrete with the setting sun behind it all. Well, I ended up almost loving all of these more than the ones we took at the fair.:)

We had such a wonderful time with Amanda. She was so relaxed and easygoing. I was trying to encourage her to give me an idea of what she wanted to do as far as styling and hair. She just kept saying,”Whatever – just make me look pretty.” This talented young lady is also a pilot and can be spotted on the north shore in her glider. So cool!! Well, sweetie, you look more than just pretty. You look amazing!

This is the fourth time I have taken photographs for this lovely family. It has been so much fun to watch them grow!

The very first time I met this mom, we were at a party. She asked me if I knew of any good photographers that could take some family pictures. I just so happened that I did!:)It has been so much fun getting to know this family.

This was such a fun and casual family portrait session. I love that you can see that fun was being had and the casual poses truly tell this family’s story.
